About Fae

Hey! I'm a self-taught artist who's been drawing for over a decade. I'm queer and mixed (hola, mexicanos!) and love to spend my free time thinking up stories with my partner. Fun fact, we have over 200 characters living in our combined brainspace...General info:
◦ they/she
◦ 25
◦ Canadian / Mexican
Tools of the trade:
◦ Clip Studio Paint
◦ 11" iPad
I got my first little Wacom Bamboo tablet in 2013 after watching speedpaints on Youtube, and I never looked back. Since then I prefer to work on screen tablets (I've tried to go back and I've lost all my hand-eye coordination). I've also tried and worked with multiple art programs over the years (Photoshop, Paint Tool Sai, Medibang Paint, and Procreate were used long term), but Clip Studio Paint has become my tried and true. Yes, I have to pay for the subscription right now... 🥲 I'm hoping to be able to afford a new computer soon!As mentioned, if I'm not drawing, I'm thinking about characters! I'm in several rotating D&D campaigns (our DM has too many ideas and I'm an enabler) and my love for the game has shot up in the past couple years. All of them are homebrew, so it's really funny hearing canon D&D references and not having a clue what they're about.I'm no hardcore gamer, but I adore Baldur's Gate 3, the Witcher, Hades, Stardew Valley, Fire Emblem... and some other niche titles! My current obsession is a visual novel called Touchstarved that isn't even out yet—I love to chat about books! My favourite genre is and always will be fantasy, with a side of romance (but not romantasy). I'm always on the hunt for more books that hit the sweet spot of fantasy, queer (bonus points if it's lesbian), has poc main characters, and isn't young adult. So if you've got some bangers, please share!
